Executive Officers

Andy Conti
President

Originally from Galveston, Texas, Andy most recently called New York City home. Before attending Georgetown, he was a client executive for Marsh Inc. His responsibilities included managing a cross-sector of client relationships, including Financial Institutions, Real Estate, Public Entity & Transportation, and Tech/Media/Telecomm. Prior to joining Marsh in 2005, Andy was a Senior Consultant for Ernst & Young LLP where he specialized in dispute resolution and forensic accounting.  Additionally, he has extensive financial services experience as he began his career at Arthur Andersen LLP as a valuation and claims litigation consultant. Andy holds an undergraduate and master’s degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

As the President of the MSB Student Government Association, his roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Be readily available to students for the purpose of communication of issues, concerns, thoughts and initiatives through SGA Town Halls and other communication forums
  • Officially represent the MSB Student Body at all times
  • Meet regularly, along with the Vice President, with the Dean, Associate Deans, faculty, and administration to discuss student initiatives and perspectives
  • Call and lead the SGA board meetings
  • Support the Presidents of the student organizations in the attainment of their organizational goals
  • Advocate new initiatives from the Student Body that provide value to the MSB Community
  • Promote faculty and student interaction and communication, including the proposal of relevant topics for faculty meeting discussions

Charlotte Fausett
Vice President

Before attending Georgetown to pursue her MBA, Charlotte Fausett lived in Orange County, California, where she was Curator of the Children's Museum at La Habra.  As Curator, she acted as lead project manager, operations manager, and head artist extraordinaire.  She also held leadership positions on the Museum Educators of Southern California Board of Directors and the Newport Jaycees Board of Directors where she sought to create professional development opportunities for her colleagues and peers.  Charlotte lived most her life in Southern California and attended UC Berkeley for her undergraduate education.  At Berkeley, she majored in International Development and studied abroad for a year in Toulouse, France.  Now at Georgetown, she is an active member of Net Impact, Georgetown Women in Business, the Emerging Markets Network, and the Graduate Students Consulting Group.  She looks to pursue a career in strategic management and operations after graduation.

As Vice President of the MSB Student Government Association, her roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To assist the President with performance of his duties and, in his absence, succeed the President and assume his powers and duties
  • To meet regularly, along with the President, with the Dean, Associate Deans, faculty, and administration to discuss student initiatives and perspectives
  • To communicate with Student Body about i) SGA decisions and initiatives; ii) SGA events; iii) Student Organization events; and iv) administration announcements
  • To oversee and coordinate the annual McDonough Cup and 2nd Year Disorientation event
  • To support and assist the functional Vice Presidents and Cohort Representatives in achieving functional area goals

Katie Koecheler
Vice President of Admissions

Katie grew up in Boulder, Colorado and then went to undergrad at Washington University in St. Louis where she majored in English Literature and Psychology.  After graduation, she moved to DC, where she worked as an event manager at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.  At the Kennedy Center, Katie was responsible for the planning and execution of donor events and fundraisers.  She also managed several donor appreciation excursions throughout the country and the world.  After 4 years at the Kennedy Center, she decided she wanted to redirect her career focus.  This prompted her to attend Georgetown University, where she is focusing on corporate social responsibility.

As Vice President of Admissions, her roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as a liaison between the MSB and incoming students
  • Coordinate face-to-face meetings between students returning home for term breaks and potential MSB students
  • Meet on an as-needed basis with the Admissions Director to pursue ways in which MSB can improve the admissions process and prospective student recruiting
  • Solicit and coordinate volunteers for various on campus and local recruiting events
  • Facilitate discussions with administration to improve the overall admissions process at MSB

Aleks Trpkovska
Vice President of Alumni Relations

Aleks Trpkovska is a double Hoya, having received her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University in International Relations and now a student in the MBA Program.  During her undergraduate career, Aleks was involved in many events (such as Georgetown Day) and was the President of the College Academic Council.  In her previous role, Aleks was an analyst at BearingPoint, on their Global Engagement and Mobility Solutions team where she was exposed to engagement setup and risk management in the emerging markets sector.  The position allowed her to combine her interest for business with her academic background and international experiences.  Born and raised in Macedonia, Aleks has come to consider Georgetown her second home.  She loves Georgetown’s international awareness and diversity.   She is a member of the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Network and the Georgetown Women in Business. Additionally, she is a Board Fellow assigned to a local DC non-profit, which allows her to volunteer her time to help others, while putting to practice freshly learned MBA concepts, such as strategy consulting, to work.  Aleks’ goal in the VP of Alumni position is to bring alumni back to the hilltop.  As a current alumna, Aleks is really happy to be serving in this role and will be working hard to ensure that she meets all of her campaign promises!

As Vice President of Alumni Relations, her roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To coordinate outreach by the Student Body to alumni
  • To coordinate with the MBA program administrator counterpart and Georgetown alumni coodinator for alumni affairs to encourage greater student/alumni communication and networking opportunities
  • To design and coordinate at least one annual event to draw alumni participation on campus
  • To support administration personnel with the coordination of alumni fundraising activities
  • To establish and maintain relationships with prominent alumni
  • To further develop and support a career mentorship program

Rusmir Music
Vice President of Career Management

Rusmir Music (pronounced moose-itch) hails from Bosnia and Herzegovina. At age 17, he left war-ravaged Bosnia and came - on his own - to the United States.  Since then, he has been a "self-made man," learning, working, and writing in some of America's greatest cities.  Rusmir intends to pursue a career in renewable energy through his unique set of experiences in sciences, humanities, and business.  He received his BA in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross and his MA in Humanities and Social Thought from New York University.  Before coming to MSB, Rusmir worked in higher education, most recently as the Assistant Director for Experiential Programs at Brandeis University in Massachusetts.  Rusmir has written and presented on a variety of topics, and has started programs and initiatives which have garnered national attention. As Vice President of Career Management, his roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To meet regularly with the Director of Career Management to address student questions and concerns regarding career programs
  • To arrange Town Hall meetings between the Career Management office and the Student Body
  • To spearhead annual career events such as Industry 101 and Inside the Internship
  • To facilitate the communication and coordination of career resources with Student Organization presidents in regards to Student Organization career management support
  • To work with the VP of International to understand and address the career needs of international students
  • To implement new initiative such as Industry Trek training for clubs

Erica Swenson
Vice President of Community Affairs

Erica Swenson was born and raised in San Diego, CA.  She attended Santa Clara University for undergrad and studied marketing.  Prior to business school she worked at Macy's in buying and financial planning.  In her free time she enjoys traveling and skiing.

As Vice President of Community Service, her roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To be a liaison between the Washington, D.C. community and MSB
  • To work with student organizations and SGA to increase volunteer event awareness and participation
  • To coordinate and manage no less than two class-wide volunteer activities per academic semester
  • To work with the VP of Social Activities to publicize community activities
  • To work with VP of Finance to secure funds for community activities
  • To solicit feedback from the Student Body to improve the quality of and participation in community activities

Sarah Lackritz
Vice President of Curriculum

Prior to beginning her MBA at Georgetown, Sarah worked in investor relations at Brunswick Group where she advised on mergers & acquisitions, initial public offerings and corporate crises.  She is a DC native and attended Brandeis University in Waltham, MA where she received her BA in Linguistic Anthropology.  Her career goals post MSB include working in strategy consulting and eventually opening her own business.  In her spare time, Sarah loves traveling and going out to dinner.  She hates to cook, but finds cleaning to be the best stress relief. 

As Vice President of Curriculum, her roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To serve as the voice of the Student Body on pertinent curricular matters
  • To serve as a liaison between the SGA and the Graduate Curriculum and Standards Committee
  • To inform the SGA regarding status of issues brought before the Graduate Curriculum and Standards Committee
  • To communicate relevant developments of the Graduate Curriculum and Standards Committee to the SGA
  • To coordinate meetings with appropriate administration to discuss the concerns of the MSB Student Body
  • To provide guidance to incoming students for curriculum related issues

Eunsik Kim
Vice President of Finance

Eunsik considers himself truly Asian, having grown up in Korea (South of course), Singapore, and China.  He came to the US in 1998 to pursue his bachelors and masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.  Following school, Eunsik worked in Korea as a research engineer at Samsung Electronics and SK C&C, where he was in charge of developing intelligent controller products and high capacity USIM cards.  He enjoys traveling, reading, eating, and sleeping, and hopes to find a job in corporate banking after business school.  As VP of Finance, Eunsik is interested in establishing transparency in SGA budgets and sponsoring as many events as possible.

As Vice President of Finance, his roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To develop and continuously update the MSB SGA budget
  • To make the SGA budget available to the Student Body and to track SGA spending monthly, providing regular updates to SGA board
  • Develop and implement fundraising initiatives for the SGA account
  • Act as a liaison between the SGA and Student Services for all financial matters
  • To work directly with Student Organization presidents and Student Organization finance vice presidents to track Student Organization spending monthly

Leo Halim
Vice President of International Students
Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, Leo Halim came to the United States in 1999, where he received his Bachelor's degree from Ohio State University with a major in Accounting in 2003. Prior to business school, he worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as an auditor, dealing with internal control issues and process improvements. He plans to work in the consulting industry after completing his MBA degree.  During his free time, Leo enjoys traveling, reading and playing piano.

As the Vice President of International Students, his roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To represent International Students in the MBA program
  • To promote the McDonough School of Business abroad and generate additional applications from International Students
  • To serve as a liaison to other International Student Organizations at Georgetown
  • To identify concerns of foreign students and initiate programs to facilitate their adaptation in the Student Body
  • To assist the Admissions Office in welcoming new International Students
  • To assist International Students seeking employment in the U.S.
  • To develop programs to integrate and mix international students both socially and academically within the larger MSB community

Lillian Liu
Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Lillian was born in Austin, but has lived in the DC Metropolitan area for most of her life.  Prior to attending Georgetown, Lillian graduated with a BS in Marketing from the University of Maryland, College Park and worked as a Marketing Manager for a gourmet frozen food manufacturer in Alexandria.  During her free time, Lillian loves to bake and travel (especially to Taiwan and Japan) and has recently taken up yoga.  Following business school, Lillian hopes to continue working in a marketing related field.

As Vice President of Marketing and Communications, her roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Assist the Associate Dean of Marketing & Communications in internally promoting the Georgetown MSB Brand
  • Consolidate and improve internal communications about events and student-led initiatives
  • Offer marketing and communications support to events, clubs, and student organizations
  • To internally market and communicate SGA initiatives and events using various methods (signs, flyers, press releases, brand creation, etc)
  • To assist in the utilization of diverse media (film, social media, web)
  • To enhance the content of the SGA website and central website as needed in order to better serve the MSB Student Body.

Dawn Markovics
Vice President of Social Activities 

Dawn was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She attended Clemson University for her undergraduate degree, where she majored in Accounting, and was a member of the Women's Rugby Team.  Dawn worked as an auditor and a banker at Wachovia Bank and HSBC Bank for 7 years before returning to Georgetown University to pursue her Masters of Business Administration (MBA).  Dawn is an active member of Graduate Marketing Alliance (GMA), SGA, the Entrepreneur Club, Georgetown Women in Business, and the Georgetown Beer Society.  Dawn will be working this Summer as a Brand Management Intern at ConAgra Foods in Chicago, Illinois.  For fun, Dawn is working toward a goal of 100 community service hours during her two year fulltime MBA program at Georgetown.

As Vice President of Social Activities, her roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • To manage 1st Year Social Representatives to effectively pursue all social responsibilities, including the weekly events, as well as the spring and winter formals
  • To coordinate student social events throughout the year
  • To coordinate with Student Organization activities to minimize overlap and conflicts
  • To coordinate a social activity to integrate 1st & 2nd year students to be held during the first 2 weeks of the first module
  • To work with 1st year social chairs upon election to SGA
  • To organize annual SGA bartending & faculty bartending nights

Robert Johnson
Vice President of Student Services

Originally from "God's Country" (Salem, Oregon), Rob graduated from Linfield College in 2005, earning a degree in Political Science and Mass Communication. After spending three years schmoozing elected officials at the Oregon Legislative Assembly as a lobbyist for a small health care trade association, he returned to pursue an MBA at Georgetown, ironically choosing our nation's capitol to escape the glamorous world of politics. Rob is pursuing a career in manufacturing operations in the apparel industry, assuming his efforts to channel Steve Prefontaine and become an Olympic distance runner aren't successful. Rob also serves as the President of the MBA Running Club and volunteers with several DC-area organizations, including "Back on My Feet" and "Lucky Dog Rescue."

As Vice President of Student Services, his roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage Student Organization operations
  • Review each Student Organization's budget in conjunction with the SGA VP of Finance
  • Serve on the Student Organization Review Committee
  • Interface with the McDonough Student Services office as a student representative
  • Chair the monthly Club Presidents' organizational meeting
  • Plan and execute collective Student Organization events, including Club Fair, Officer Transition Day and Industry 101
  • Administratively support McDonough's Student Organizations in a number of other capacities

Nico Durand
Vice President of Technology

Originally from Geneva, Switzerland, Nico has traveled in more than 55 countries and has driven a motor vehicle in about half of them.  He has been programming for 22 years and if he had to choose between his girlfriend and his laptop when going on vacation, she would need to line up some serious arguments to win.  His professional background is very varied, having worked in a bank, in an internet startup, as an IT consultant and for an international NGO.  He also started his own genealogy non-profit in Geneva, which now boasts one of the largest online tree.  After his MBA, Nico wants to pursue a career in consulting or international development, or even better: both.

He truly loves Georgetown and wants to make sure that, from an IT point of view, students get the most out of their unique experience.  His goal is to promote web technologies as much as possible by enabling club web sites, as well as an intranet and a global calendar.  He also plans to organize training sessions to teach students and staff how to use readily available software tools.

As Vice President of Technology, his roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To liaise between MSBTC and the Student Body regarding all technology matters
  • To assist Student Organizations with technology needs
  • To monitor Student Organization websites to ensure that they are current and meet the content requirements
  • To coordinate elections with the MSBTC and serve as an election commissioner
  • To conduct elective surveys for fall and spring semesters and publish the results to the Student Body
  • To ensure that the SGA website is up-to-date at all times
  • To enhance the central website as needed in order to better serve the MSB Student Body

Courtney Rose
Blue Cohort Representative
Courtney Rose comes to Georgetown from New York, NY and grew up right outside the city in White Plains, NY.  She received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Boston college.  After graduating, Courtney spent 4 years working as a financial consultant and account executive for FactSet Research Systems, within its Investment Banking Division.  She managed the Citigroup and JPMorgan accounts.  Upon completing her MBA, Courtney hopes to pursue a career in marketing either within financial services or consumer package goods.  In her spare time, she enjoys swimming and spinning.  Courtney is an avid New York Yankees fan and challenges anyone to question her loyalty.  As the Blue Cohort Representative, Courtney hopes to improve communication between the BEST COHORT EVER and the faculty, the administration and the student government.   She also plans to organize socializing initiatives between the 1st years and 2nd years, through events like the Cohort Cup.

Margaret Cho
Gray Cohort Representative
Margaret Cho is originally from Franklin, MA. She received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in 2004. Prior to business school, she worked at Hewlett-Packard for 5 years-- 2 years in mechanical R&D and 3 years in HP Services sales. She enjoys cooking and the outdoors and is having fun exploring DC. Upon graduation, Margaret hopes to pursue a career in operations.

As Cohort Representatives, the group’s roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To represent the 1st year Student Body to faculty, administration, and the SGA
  • To communicate questions and concerns of 1st year students at SGA meetings
  • To notify respective cohorts of important events and decisions
  • To serve as an escalation point for cohort members in all aspects of the MSB
  • To provide weekly cohort updates that include:
    • Deadlines for Student Services
    • Career related information
    • Academic related information
    • Social and Student Organization activities and events
  • To meet with professors as necessary to provide feedback and discuss issues of concern to the cohort
  • As a 2nd year in the position, to perform duties described above for the 1st Year class until the new 1st Year Cohort Representatives are elected in the September Cohort Representative election
